Our Opinion

Aldi’s festive Fluent Device, Kevin The Carrot, is now so popular that there were reports of fighting among customers desperate to get one. While we wouldn’t encourage brands to incite violence, that’s one sign of a successful character! Kevin is all over this year’s Aldi ads. Not only does this central ad – featuring his battle against nemesis Pascal the Parsnip – star the plucky vegetable, he introduces Asda’s more product focused ads. His main ad gets 3-Stars, but so did one of the product ads – testament to Kevin’s deep-rooted appeal.
