Apple and their creative global agency of record, TBWA\Media Arts Lab, speak to all of our inner cookie monsters in this cute spot for the iPhone 6s. How many times have you put cookies in the oven, set a timer and attempted to distract yourself to kill time, only to discover that no time has passed? It happens to me every time, and is exactly what happens to Cookie Monster, the star of the ad, in this 60 second spot. Set to Jim Croce’s “Time in a Bottle,” viewers laugh at Cookie Monster’s failed attempts to distract himself while empathizing with his frustration. After all, what’s better than a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie, warm and gooey straight out of the oven? Cookie Monster and audiences agreed, earning this ad an EiA score of 80.83 and a 4-Star rating.
