Our Opinion

Audi’s “Cashew” won a lot of plaudits for its originality and its twist-ending, wrapping a product-focused ad in the ‘velvet glove’ of an entertaining and memorable storyline. It’s about as good as these kind of mixed-mode product-features-meet-emotional-appeal ads get, which makes its high 3-Star rating no real surprise. 3-Stars (still a high rating – “Cashew” is in the top quarter of ads) tends to be the limit for this kind of mixed approach.
