Gatorade’s light-hearted ad cleverly inverts the P&G formula – instead of adults inspiring kids who go on to become great athletes, here it’s the kids providing the inspiration. Don’t ever let go of your youthful enthusiasm, is the notion – a congruent one for a sports drink brand most Americans meet in high school. Like many Olympic ads, it showcases the variety of the Games with a montage format, and it uses children well – another route to success for sporting commercials.
