Our Opinion

A lot of the ads that draw attention these days are ones which feature brands taking a stand or even stirring up controversy. Very few brands, if any, tried anything similar at the Super Bowl – this was an occasion to unite, not divide, and Google rose to the challenge with a simple but touching ad about the words most often translated on its service. From the collage of shots to the soothing piano soundtrack, the clichés of feelgood corporate ads are in full effect, but this time they’re in the service of something that feels very human.
