Our Opinion

The Olympic Games are filled with national pride as each country enthusiastically cheers for its athletes to bring home a gold medal. This national pride can lead to tensions between countries, especially along border lines. China borders 14 other countries, the most of any country in the world. BBH Shanghai and Harbin Beer wanted to unite some of these highly divisive locales to encourage openness and unity between people on both sides of the border. Invoking the spirit of the Games, BBH Shanghai and Harbin invited residents on both sides to come together for different sporting events and break down the invisible barriers that divide them. This emotional ad leaves viewers smiling and cheering as the Olympic Spirit moves both the viewers and the participants in the film.
