“Yearbooks” is a celebrity ad with a difference: its heroes are animated versions of stars’ teenage selves, with celebrities from Stan Lee to Missy Elliott brought to CGI life. It’s an ad that could only have been made with 2010s effects, but the idea is a pure and inspiring one that would have made for a great emotional spot in any age: follow your dreams. It’s the highest-scoring inspirational ad at this year’s Super Bowl.
