But the best ads in the category work by reminding us of what’s worth protecting in our lives. State Farm’s ad about a man, a dog, and a truck who have their blissful life together rudely interrupted wisely concentrates on the bliss, not the interruption – a narrative decision which takes the ad to 4-Star status.
