Our Opinion

Toyota and Saatchi & Saatchi LA created this Super Bowl 50 spot to promote the new Toyota Prius. Using the cast of The Wire as bank robbers, the ad spoofs a traditional robbery and police chase by placing the robbers in a Prius. Hilarity ensues and the ad maintains high levels of happiness throughout the spot, ending on an amusing high note as they silently back out of a blockade by taking advantage of the Prius’s silent motor when it goes at very low speeds. The ad received an EiA score of 81.02 and a solid 4-Star ranking.
